The Mop Maker is a first-of-its-kind colored texture powder for men with thinning hair. I came up with the idea after experiencing the extreme costs and side effects of hair restoration medications and surgeries firsthand. The product is built for men who want to work with the hair they have - transforming how they feel about themselves and how they interface with the world, without the commitment and consequences of medical intervention.
I built everything from scratch: prototyping with cosmetic formulators, brand identity and positioning, packaging design, building relationships with manufacturers, and the full go-to-market strategy. I ran pre-launch campaigns across Meta and Google Ads (learned Meta crushes Google for this), built an email waitlist, and optimized conversion performance until launch day.
The Mop Maker proved I could do more than strategize for other companies. I could build, launch, and scale a real product myself. From conception to first order, this is what happens when a creative decides to make something for himself.
Mop Maker regularly sells 1,000 units per month.
